Is the goal really History?

California has passed a bill that will require all public schools in the state to begin incorperating lessons about gays/lesbians in social study classes as soon as 2013 school year. State Senator Mark Leno (D) hailed the bill as a step to teaching tolerance. Is the goal to teach history or another government endoctrination plan?
