Edward Duane Evans, Jr., 66, of Parkersburg, passed away Aug. 31, 2014, at his home.
He was born May 28, 1948, in Parkersburg, son of the late Edward D. Evans, Sr., and Ethel McVey Parsons.
He was a member of Calvary Mission of Parkersburg, and the Disabled American Veterans Association.
Edward is survived by his wife, Doris Green Evans; two daughters, Jennifer (Buddy) Butcher and Christine (Shawn Reese) Evans, Parkersburg; two sons, Nathan Evans, Parkersburg, and James (LaShay) Evans, Fla.; three sisters, Pamela Bradon and Paula (Al) Uppole, Parkersburg, and Amanda (Jeremy) Roberts, Davisville; four brothers, Thomas (Mary) Evans, Parkersburg, Timmy (Cindy) Evans, Little Hocking, John Evans, Parkersburg, and Tony Evans, California; grandchildren, Sadie, Addie, Niaziah Butcher, Adrianna and Braelyn Evans, Patrick and Mason Reese; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Eddie Wayne; sister, Myrna Evans; and two nephews, Josh Uppole and Steve Parsons.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green Street, Parkersburg. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at the funeral home, with Rev. Jack Brown officiating. Burial will follow with a graveside military service by the American Legion Post 15 Color Guard at Evergreen North Cemetery, Parkersburg.
