Gail Collins Hardbarger, 96, of Harrisville, W.Va., departed this life on Aug. 30, 2014, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg.
She was born March 10, 1918, at Prunty, W.Va., the daughter of the late Alvin and Hattie Ash Collins.
Gail was a devoted homemaker and was a seamstress for 26 years at the former Economy Industries. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, and loved music and to dance.
She is survived by children, Leon Hardbarger, Leavittsburg, Ohio, Frances Lockaby, Canton, Ohio, Wilma Ross, Harrisville, W.Va., Dorothy Cowan (Jack), Massillon, Ohio, Harold Hardbarger (Alice), Harrisville, W.Va., Edna Saunders, Ashland, Ohio, Rella Ankrom, St. Marys, W.Va., Melvin Hardbarger (Melanie), Canton, Ohio, and Carolynn Hodge (David), Harrisville, W.Va.; 19 grandchildren; and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Blaine Hardbarger; two sons, Charles and Loran Hardbarger; brothers, Jessie, Wayne, Marion and Delford Collins; sister, Bertha Hardbarger; two infant sisters; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, W.Va., with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and after 9 a.m. on the day of the service.
