Roy Alford Green Jr., 31, passed away on Aug. 29, 2014.
He was born on Aug. 6, 1983, in Morgantown, W.Va., to Bonnie Cora Green (Espy) and Roy Alford Green Sr.
He worked at Tri State Ambulance Service where he was an EMT. He was an active member in CERT, Wood County Community Emergency Communications, and the Red Cross. He was a member of St. Marys First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jessica Green of Waverly; son, Ryan Green of Waverly; sisters, Teresa Kinney (Rick) of Clarksville, Tenn., and Debbie Hill (Greg) of Vienna; brothers, Jeff Sutphin (Cyndi) of Belpre, Ohio, and Robert Sutphin (Laura) of Orlando, Fla.; father-in-law, Daniel Fuenty, and mother-in-law, Kathy Fuenty, both of Waverly, W.Va.; sister-in-law, Morgan Fuenty of Waverly, W.Va.; grandmothers, Ellen Green of Parkersburg and Mary Espy of Belpre, Ohio; and several aunts. uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Cora Green (Espy); and infant brother, Johnathan Andrew Green.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today at Leavitt Funeral Home of Parkersburg. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Pastor John Strimmer officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
He was a loving husband, daddy, son, brother and friend. "Goodnight, God Bless, We love you."
