Ice bucket challenge accepted by teachers

August 31, 2014
By Sue Sampson , Parkersburg News and Sentinel

A group of Beverly-Center teachers and the Fort Frye administrative team have accepted the "Ice Bucket Challenge" on August 22. Armed with towels and a great attitude, fourteen people braved the buckets of water and ice. Admittedly, the Administration Team faced a far bigger challenge with bigger buckets and more ice, but the good-natured challenges were met, passed with flying colors, and passed along. The Beverly-Center teachers, led by 4th grade teacher Dawn Spurr, challenged the teachers at Lowell, Salem-Liberty, and Fort Frye High School. Fort Frye Superintendent Stephanie Starcher led the administrative team in challenging the other local administrative teams of the Wolf Creek, Warren, and Belpre School Districts.
