Emil Eddy, 77, of Bridgeway Addition, Middlebourne, departed this life Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, in OVMC, Wheeling.
He was born in Tyler County, Feb. 10, 1937, a son of the late Albert and Georgia Eddy.
Emil went to work at the Farmers Exchange, Middlebourne, at the age of 15. He worked there for 62 years. He was a Protestant.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Amy Turner Eddy; two sons, Richard and Paul Turner; a brother, Derwin Mercer; and a sister, Lou Blon. Emil is survived by two sons, Earl Turner, Pennsboro, and Harry Turner, Middlebourne; a daughter, Corena Shreves, Mooresville, N.C.; and several grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today at Furbee Funeral Home, Middlebourne, where services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, with Roger Yost officiating. Interment in Lazear Chapel Cemetery, Kidwell.
