Duane Alan Cade, 53, passed away at his home on Aug. 8, 2014.
He was born Sept. 25, 1960, in Parkersburg.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William M. Cade and Gladys M. Cade; his aunt, Debra J. Cade; and his maternal grandfather, Richie W. Amos. He is survived by his parents, Billy D. and Martha L. Cade; two brothers, William "Rick" Cade of Parkersburg and Daniel (Sherry) Cade of Belleville, W.Va.; two sisters, Tamera (Steve) Johnson of Lowell, Ohio, and Lori (Jeff) Ruble of Washington, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
"Alan" as he was known to family and friends, worked as a construction worker and carpenter most of his adult life. He loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed playing poker with his friends. He was also known to be a great story teller.
The cremation services will be handled by Sunset Memorial Gardens. A celebration of his life will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Rockport Community Building in Rockport, W.Va. Friends and family are invited to bring a covered dish.
