Luella "Sue" Butler, 90, of Core Road, died July 30, 2014, at Worthington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Dec. 8, 1923, at Boaz, W.Va., to the late Virginia Ralston Pellicone and the late Wilbur "Dinger" Callihan.
Sue was raised in Williamstown, W.Va., and attended schools there. She married her childhood sweetheart, Roy W. Butler, on June 10, 1942. They were married 65 years. Roy preceded her in death in 2007.
Sue is survived by her four children, Larry Butler of Kingman, Ariz., Doug and Barbara Butler of Waverly, W.Va., Mike and Courtney Butler of Parkersburg, and Judy and Don Taylor of Howard, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ralston "Buster" Callihan; and her daughter-in-law, Sharon Butler.
Sue was a member of the North Parkersburg Baptist Church.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Keith Hostutler officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, at the funeral home.
