Leon Anderson McCrady, 86, of Vienna, passed away July 27, 2014, at Parkersburg Care Center.
He was born March 6, 1928, in Sandyville, W.Va., the son of the late Earnest C. and Thelma Anderson McCrady.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and was a member of American Legion Post 15. He was former crew member of the U.S.S. North Carolina. He retired from FMC, American Cyanamid and Nashua Photo. He was a member of South Parkersburg Southern Baptist Church.
He is survived by his adopted daughter, Thresea Ann McCrady of Parkersburg; two sons, John J. McCrady of Parkersburg and Woodrow M. McCrady of Vienna; a stepdaughter, Diana Turner of Roanoke, Va.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three nieces, Donna Lahrmann, Elaine Rollins and Judie Webb; a half brother, Dennis McCrady; and a half sister, Ruth Bayer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret G. McCrady; stepmother, Vestie; and his brother, John E. McCrady.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Paul Drake officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg.
