PARKERSBURG - After more than three decades in the Mid-Ohio Valley, Lee's Studio continues to create clientele through services and quality products.
"The studio started as a Merle Norman Cosmetics store and has grown over the last 31 years to what it is now," said owner Lee Rector, an internationally recognized makeup artist and licensed esthetician. "We have always progressed forward, since we opened in Grand Central Mall in 1983."
After the studio moved out of the mall and into a strip location, spa services were added and have continued to grow in scope after it was moved to the current location at 3113 Murdoch Ave. in Parkersburg.

The spa includes board certified physicians, therapists and technicians who perform a variety of spa services including manicures and pedicures, facials, hair stylists and massages.
"We are now a full-service spa and it all started with Merle Norman," Rector said. "This business has been a great success and a lot of that has been down to my parents who have been great mentors in making this what it is."
Along with the typical spa services, Lee's Studio has also added services from Dr. Alex DeSouza, an anti-aging Brazilian doctor with an office in Charleston.
"He offers procedures not offered anywhere else in the valley," Rector said. "These are skin tightening and facial muscles, including skin fitness.
"In our 18 years in this location, we have added many different services and are now adding a laser clinic," he added.
Rector also said he and his technicians do what they can to stay up-to-date on what is happening in the beauty industry.
"We continue our educations and do everything we can to make sure our 8,000 to 10,000 annual clients are happy," he said. "We strive to offer excellent customer services and make the women of the Mid-Ohio Valley as beautiful as they can be."
