Wanedia Maxine Rader, 89, of Coolville, passed peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, surrounded by her family.
She was born on Oct. 3, 1924, in Ravenswood, W.Va., to the late Jesse Alvin and Elsie Mae (Rardin) Sayre.
She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School class of 1942, and worked as a telephone operator and bank teller at Tri-county Bank. She enjoyed bowling, golf and playing cards with family. She was a member of Stewart United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children, James (Dorothy), Jerry (Betty) of Coolville, Julie (Charlie) Potter of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Joe (Barb) of Coolville; grandchildren, Jay, Jennifer, Natalie, BJ, Travis, Melissa, Chris, Amy, Holly and Jill; and great-grandchildren, Dylan, Ashley, Connor, Michael, Eric, Dakota, Jett, Travis, Madison, Shawna, Chelsea, Madison, Gabrielle, Ruby, Lydia and Brandon. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James; brother, Alvin Sayre; and sisters, Lourine Bailey and Betty Rader.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, at Vanderhoof Baptist Church, 23305 Moyis Rd., Coolville, with the Rev. Jim Lambert officiating. Interment will be in the Coolville Cemetery. Visiting hours will be 2-4 p.m. Friday, July 18, at the church.
