Edward D. Gregg, 87, of St. Marys, W.Va., passed away July 13, 2014, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born at the Rock Run homeplace on Feb. 14, 1927. He was the son of the late John "Pete" and Effa Roby Gregg. He had worked at American Cyanamid for 39 years; he was a member of the Rock Run Community Church. He was a member of the St. Marys Lodge #41 A. F. & A.M. and Eastern Star Chapter #20 of Ellenboro, W.Va. He enjoyed hunting, camping, gardening and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his two sons, Roger D. (Kathy) Gregg Sr. and Johnny D. (Randa) Gregg of St. Marys; a daughter, Gayla S. (Ron) Casto of Ellenboro; a brother-in-law, Martin Lamp of Southington, Ohio; a special friend, Anna Mary Ball of St. Marys; grandchildren, Michael Fawcett, Michelle Kern, Matthew Fawcett, Jennifer LeAnn Gregg, Roger "Pete" Gregg, II, Jennifer Metheney, John "John Boy" Gregg, Michael Gregg, Andrea Gregg, Melissa Jones and Jason Seese; 22 great-grandchildren and one due in February; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Edwina M. Lamp Gregg; a brother, Leonard Gregg; and a sister, Betty Cox Carpenter.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, with Pastor Bud Corbin officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Lane Masonic Cemetery, Hebron, W.Va. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
