Vivian E. Cline, 104, formerly of Vienna, W.Va., passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Appletree Assisted Living in Beverly, Ohio.
She was born April 26, 1910, in Slate, W.Va., a daughter of the late Averell E. and Grace Deem Elliott.
She was a 1930 graduate of Parkersburg High School and was a member of the Vienna Church of Christ.
She is survived by her sister, Elinor E. Gillespie of Belpre, Ohio; her nephew, Darrell Gillespie (Drema) of Vincent, Ohio; her niece, Ellen Knotts (Gene) of Little Hocking, Ohio; her nephew, Kenny Gillespie of Glenwood, W.Va.; and several great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred M. Cline; and her brother, Everett "Q" Elliott.
The family extends a heartfelt thanks to Hospice and the Appletree Assisted Living in Beverly, Ohio, for the excellent care and friendship she enjoyed there.
Services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, July 10, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va., with Minister Ron Laughery officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, Parkersburg. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, at the funeral home.
