Ottie Darrell Casto, 96, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away July 4, 2014, at Eagle Pointe Nursing Home.
He was born in Charleston, W.Va., on Feb. 23, 1918, as son of the late Boyd and Ivy Doughty Casto.
During World War II, he served his country for the U.S. Governments program farming for (food for the U.S. troops.) He retired from the United Dairy Services in Coshocton, Ohio, after 36 years of service, and was a member of the United Dairy Workers Union. After retirement, he and his wife, Flota, spent their time traveling and their winters in Florida.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Flota Tolley Casto; and one brother, Basil O. Casto.
He leaves behind one daughter, Delores Myers and her husband, Paul E. Myers; three grandsons, Michael, Timothy and Gregory; and two great-granddaughters, Caitlyn Marie and Brooke Elizabeth Marie.
Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sinaiville United Methodist Church Cemetery in Jackson County, W.Va. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va.
