Beulah Mae Smith, 85, of Ravenswood, W.Va., passed away July 2, 2014, at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, W.Va.
She was born on Jan. 3, 1929, in Mineral Wells, W.Va., to William Rawson and Myrtle Caplinger Rawson.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of North United Methodist Church in Ravenswood. She enjoyed camping, bowling and her family and friends at McDonalds.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Epling and husband John, Cowpens, S.C.; son, Glen Smith, Charleston, W.Va.; brother, William Rawson, Wooster, Ohio; grandchildren, Richard Hurst and Timothy and Michael Smith; great-grandchildren, Zachary and Zoe Hurst and Benjamin Smith; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 44 years, Cecil Smith; and brothers, Robert, Howard and Bernard Rawson.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, July 7, at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, W.Va., with Pastor Michael Smith officiating. Burial will be in Ravenswood Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 12 noon-2 p.m. Monday, July 7, at the funeral home.
