Catherine Anne Wagner

Catherine Anne Wagner, 84, of Parkersburg, formerly of Vienna, passed away June 21, 2014, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.

She was born Jan. 3, 1930, in Ritchie County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Henry L. and Bertha D. Starr Ferguson.

She was a proud graduate of DeSales Heights Academy and was a founding member of St. Michael's Catholic Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, playing cards and travelling. She especially loved golfing and was a member of Worthington Golf Club.

Catherine is survived by five daughters, Lisa A. Boone of Nantucket, Mass., Julia Lawson (Fred) of York, S.C., Melanie Conley (Jim) of Vienna, W.Va., Jennifer Sullivan (Glenn) of Norman, Okla., and Kelly Furr (Chris) of Little Hocking, Ohio; two sons, David Wagner (Tracy) of Parkersburg and Mark Wagner (Teresa) of Vienna; a sister, Margaret Kranz of Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Wagner, who passed away in 1998; a daughter, Kristen Wagner; three sisters, Gladys Champenois, Mary Hengler and Christine Schiller; and a brother, Philip Ferguson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, with Father John Gallagher as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Parkersburg. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna.

Memorials may be made in memory of Catherine to the American Cancer Society, 3901 Briscoe Road, Parkersburg, WV 26104-4451.
