VIENNA - Everyone has a number of jobs that need to be done around the house, but many people don't always have the time to get to all of them.
A new business in Vienna is looking to fill that need with skilled craftsmen who can do a number of jobs people have for home repair and other needs.
The Honey Do Service Inc. recently opened an office at 1007 Grand Central Ave. to serve the Parkersburg and Marietta areas. The franchise is owned by Scott Hart.

The Honey Do Service Inc. recently opened an office at 1007 Grand Central Ave. to serve the Parkersburg and Marietta areas. The company is a full-service general contractor specializing in all forms of home improvement and maintenance.
The company was established in August 2002 as a full-service general contractor specializing in all forms of home improvement and maintenance. The Honey Do Service has locations in West Virginia, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee and New Jersey.
"It is a little bit of everything," said Becca Garrison, office manager at the Vienna location. "Everything from remodeling, repair to home improvement.
"It is the work many people don't have time to do."
Services can include electrical and wiring, plumbing, home doors, house windows, home insulation, roofing gutter services, carpentry, asphalt paving, concrete work, brick masonry, house painting, house siding, drywall/sheetrock, lawn care, stump grinding, landscaping, decks and porches, kitchen remodel, bathroom remodel, cleaning service, heating and air and property fencing.
"It is a honey do service," Garrison said.
With listings on the Internet, many people have already found them and the local office has been doing work in the community.
"We are doing work now," Garrison said. "We have a craftsman who goes out and does work.
"Business has been going really good. We have had people calling and wanting the estimates."
Each craftsman must pass random drug screenings and criminal background checks to ensure the integrity of the company's staff and the safety of their customers, the company's website said.
"We focus on customer satisfaction by delivering honest, professional craftsmen who have undergone training in quality customer service to address the needs of our customers," the website said.
A company representative will go out to a potential customer's home and do an estimate on the work that needs to be done.
"It can be something as simple as someone who needs their bathroom painted," Garrison said. "We have had a lot of people call who needed a gazebo and their decks painted or built.
"We have people with actual 'honey do' lists."
Those jobs have included people who needed steps replaced, ductwork done and electrical components put in because they are getting a pool or a Jacuzzi.
"It can be an array of things," Garrison said. "We do a lot of things."
Estimates can range from $200 to $8,000.
"It just depends on what needs to be done," Garrison said.
The staff includes Hart, Garrison and their craftsman, Lee Kerins. The business is in the process of hiring another craftsman.
"If things go well, we plan to hire another one after we get open and get things moving," Garrison said.
A grand opening event will be held 3 p.m. June 26 at the Vienna office.
"You can trust a professional handyman from The Honey Do Service with your entire 'Honey Do List' with a comfort that comes from knowing your improvement projects will be prioritized and completed to your total satisfaction," the company's website said. "They work quickly and efficiently and are trained to display quality workmanship and attention to detail."
They are getting their Vienna office together and getting vans with the company logos on them for their people to go out on calls with.
"A lot of stuff is getting underway," Garrison said. "We hope to get good word-of-mouth from our customers and that they recommend us to their friends and neighbors.
"We want people to call us again and again to do the work they need."
