Sharon Brookover, 71, of Little Hocking, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014, at her residence.
She was born April 19, 1943, in Parkersburg, daughter of the late Nay and Mildred Fredrick Collins.
She was a member of Little Hocking Church of Christ and the ladies auxiliary in Columbus, Ohio. She was also a volunteer at Friends and Family Food Pantry.
She is survived by her son, Eldon and Becky Russell of Cutler; a daughter, Shelbi Russell of Apple Creek, Ohio; two grandsons, Brandon Russell of Cutler and Jason Parsons of Little Hocking; two great-granddaughters, Maddie Parsons and Emily Russell; three brothers, Denver, Jimmy and Kenny; and a sister, Ruth Kerrigan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John; three sisters, Teady Maze, Sue Calaway and Joann Lowe; and four brothers, Tom, Harold, Charles and Dorsey.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 13, at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, Ohio, with Matt Lowe and David Newberry officiating. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Newberry Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 11 a.m. Friday, June 13, until the time of the service at the funeral home.
