WILLIAMSTOWN -The Williamstown Lions Club will hold its annual all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast 7-11 a.m. July 4 at Tomlinson Park.
The annual Independence Day event is among the primary fundraisers for the Lions Club. Proceeds are used for improvement projects in the community, such as the restoration of the picnic tables in the shelter where the event is held, construction of the restroom at the southern end of Highland Park and construction of the city swimming pool.
Funds are also used to help prevent blindness, a core initiative of all Lions Clubs. A portion of the money raised at the breakfast will help pay for eye exams and eye glasses for many residents of Williamstown.
Members of the Williamstown Lions Club serve flapjacks and breakfast at a past breakfast. The club will hold its annual July 4 pancake breakfast at Tomlinson Park in Williamstown. The breakfast will be held 7-11 a.m. July 4 and costs $5.
Participants at the breakfast also are encouraged to bring old eyeglasses for the club's international vision program.
Cost is $5. On the menu is traditional, buckwheat and blueberry pancakes, sausage, coffee and orange juice.
