Elizabeth Claire Conley, 92, of Parkersburg, passed away May 26, 2014, at her residence.
She was born June 14, 1921, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Harry E. and Della M. Summers Clinton.
She was a 1939 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a graduate of Camden Clark School of Nursing. She was retired from St. Joseph's Hospital where she worked as a registered Surgical Nurse. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and loved her children and grandchildren dearly.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Mary E. Harris (Michael) of Parkersburg; her sons, David R. Conley (Jean) of Belpre and Harry C. Conley (Kathryn) of Vienna; her brother, Bill Clinton (Betsy) of Cheyenne, Wyo.; sister-in-law, Virginia Clinton of Parkersburg; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Ray Conley; and four brothers, George, Paul, Clyde and Richard Clinton.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg, with Pastor Rick Kappel officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
