Terry Kenton Holley, 62, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away May 18, 2014, in St. Mary's Medical Center.

Terry was born Feb. 4, 1952, in Huntington, a son of Norma Holley Swann of Milton and the late Robert Kenneth Holley.

He was the director of pastoral care and counseling at Cabell Huntington Hospital; was a U.S. Army veteran; was a former Barboursville Police Officer; and was a former employee of INCO. He was the former pastor of Newark Baptist Church in Newark, W.Va.; French Creek Baptist Church in St. Marys; and Madison Baptist Church in Madison, W.Va. He was a member of New Baptist Church, Huntington.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 23 years, whom he adored, Paula Jenkins Holley; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie Leigh Holley Simpson and James Simpson of Ocean View, Del., and Katie Elizabeth Poti and Joseph Poti of Huntington; five grandchildren, Alden Poti and Baby Girl Poti yet to be born, Hanna Simpson, Morgan Simpson and Addison Simpson; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen Holley Drake and Gerald Drake of Saudi Arabia, Connie Holley Mays and Dean Mays of Huntington, Marsha Holley Copley and John Copley of Ona, W.Va., and Michele Holley Miller and Kenneth Miller of Shepherdstown, W.Va.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert K. Holley and Jodi Wieder Holley of Louisville, Ky., and Gary James Kearns and Jennifer Morgan Kearns of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Linda Jenkins Clagg and Tim Clagg of Alpharetta, Ga., and Pamela Jenkins Diaz and Julio Diaz of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother-in-law and his wife, Mark Jenkins and Nancy Jenkins of Naperville, Ill.; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and loved ones.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Friday at New Baptist Church, Huntington, with Pastor Trent Eastman officiating. Friends may meet with the family following the service. A private burial will be Saturday at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington.
