Eva "Joan" Richards Fielder, 83, of Belpre, died on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Heartland of Marietta.
She was born March 17, 1931, in New Martinsville, W.Va., a daughter of the late Robert and Mildred (Mayhall) Carr.
Joan enjoyed watching NASCAR, golf and baseball.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty J. Miller (Rick) of Parkersburg; three sons, Robert L. Richards (Karen) of Akron, Ohio, Ronald G. Richards (Brenda) of Steelville, Mo., and Donald R. Richards (Sandra) of Coolville; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mona D. McClintock of Cocoa, Fla.; and six half brothers and sisters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer A. Richards; and grandfather, Robert R. Mayhall.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, May 16, at Evergreen North Cemetery, with Pastor James Corbitt officiating.
