Julianne Paige Dudley and Colin Joseph Daniels were united in marriage Oct. 12, 2013, in the 100-year-old gothic S.W. Bowne "Great Hall" on the campus of Drew University, in Madison, N.J., where they met in 2003. The Rev. Stephen P. Bauman, senior minister of Christ Church in New York, N.Y., officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Bob and Juli Bedilion of Vienna and John Dudley of Vienna. She is the granddaughter of Carole Singer and the late Ron Singer of Parkersburg, and the late Rex and Judd Dudley of Parkersburg. She is a 2003 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a 2007 graduate of Drew University, with a bachelor's degree in music and a double minor in Holocaust studies and Eastern European history. She is employed as benefits coordinator at New York & Co. in New York, N.Y.
The groom is the son of John and Marcia Daniels of Ocala, Fla. He is the grandson of the late John and Anna Daniels of Delanco, N.J., and the late Thaddeus and Anne Wisniewski of Baltimore, Md. He is a 2001 graduate of Holy Cross High School in Delran, N.J., and a 2005 summa cum laude graduate of Drew University, with a bachelor's degree and a double major in political science and economics. He is a 2008 graduate of Harvard Law School and is employed as an associate general counsel at Monarch Alternative Capital LP in New York, N.Y.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was escorted by her father and stepfather. The bride wore an ivory strapless Angelina Faccenda beaded gown featuring an organza full ruffled skirt.
The gown was accented with a beaded sash and ivory waterfall veil with edge beading. A sheer embroidered Casablanca jacket overlaid the gown. The bride wore earrings belonging to her mother and carried an ivory bouquet of calla lilies, roses and lisianthus. She wore an ivory fur stole to the reception.
Stacy Sewell of Laramie, Wy., college roommate and best friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Emily Meyers of Chicago, Ill., and Kate Martin of New York, N.Y., both friends of the bride, and Leigh Anne Lentz of Durham, N.C., sister of the groom. The bridal attendants wore floor length black silk chiffon dresses with pearl necklaces and earrings, a gift from the bride. They carried ivory bouquets of calla lilies, roses and lisianthus.
Pat Goodwin of New York, N.Y., college roommate and best friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Greg Townsend of Flemington, N.J., and Ted Johnsen of Eden Prairie, Minn., both college friends of the groom, and Andy Singer of Parkersburg, cousin of the bride. The groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos with black ties and vests, and boutonnieres of two ivory rosebuds.
The Great Hall was decorated with candles and ivory hydrangeas from the entrance up the stone stairs and into the hall. Liz Vail of Boston, Mass., Melanie Miller of Brisbane, Australia, and Anna Nowlan of Auckland, New Zealand, all friends of the bride, provided readings during the ceremony. The wedding ceremony music featured a string quartet and included Handel's "The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba" and selections from Bach's "Brandenburg Concerto."
An evening cocktail reception and formal dinner dance were held at The Madison Hotel in Morristown, N.J. A jazz pianist provided music during cocktails in the coach room. Dinner was served in the conservatory. The all glass facility was decorated with ivory hydrangeas with garden flowers and was lit by chandeliers and votive candles.
The ivory on ivory polka dotted wedding cake was vanilla sponge with custard filling, berries and Gran Marnier. The groom's cake featured three layers, each layer depicting one of his primary interests - Seinfeld, movies and the Philadelphia Phillies. An ice cream sundae bar accompanied the wedding cakes.
The bride and groom were honored the evening before the wedding at a dinner with family and the wedding party at Rod's Steak & Seafood Grille in Morristown, N.J. The bride wore a long ivory and gold Adrianna Pappel gown with illusion neckline. The newlyweds celebrated with wedding guests the morning after the wedding at a brunch in their honor at Grasshopper off the Green in Morristown, N.J. The groom's parents hosted both events.
The couple spent their honeymoon at Baros in the Maldives and Rome, Italy. They now reside in New York, N.Y.
