Paul E. Umstot

Paul E. Umstot, 77, of St. Marys, W.Va., died May 4, 2014, at Camden Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus.

He was born in Pleasants County, a son of the late Glen E. and Harriett "Sue" (Meeks) Umstot.

Paul was a member of the Operators Engineers Union. He was a member of the National Guard and a United States Army veteran. Paul was a helicopter mechanic with the 1092nd.

He is survived by his son, Paul "Chip" Umstot (Stephanie) of Waverly, W.Va.; two daughters, Kimberly Arnold (David) of Waverly and Brenda Waggoner (Lee) of Marietta, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene (West) Umstot; and sister, Linda Steele.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Wayne Nichols officiating. Burial will be at Willow Island Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post 15. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
