William "Bill" Mack Brizendine, 62, passed away May 3, 2014, following a courageous battle against cancer.
He was a member of St. Marys First Baptist Church. Bill was born in Huntington, W.Va., on March 5, 1952.
He is survived by his son, Dylan Joseph Brizendine; his faithful companion, Princess; his father, Frank Brizendine; and five siblings, Karen, Barbara, Donna, David and Kevin.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Billie Jo VanNostran.
Bill was an alumnus of Marshall University and an avid Herd fan. He was also a sports fanatic and Blue Devil fan. He was a two-time West Virginia Coach of the Year, as well as a two-time West Virginia A-AA Wrestling Coach of the Year. He led his SMHS wrestling teams to four LKC Championships, two Regional Championships, three West Virginia State Championships, and coached 13 individual wrestlers to state championships.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys. A private service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill's name to Latrobe Street Mission, Parkersburg, or the Pleasants County Humane Society.
