Zelma Glennetta Stewart Blevins, 71, of Statesville, N.C., passed away April 29, 2014, at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C.

She was born June 27, 1942, in St. Marys, W.Va., a daughter of the late Glen M. and Margaret V. Barnhart Harding. She was a graduate of St. Marys High School and attended Mitchell College. She had worked for the former Colin Anderson Center, Canteen Vending, and had been an EMT with the former Pleasants County Emergency Squad. Her hobbies included gardening and crocheting.

She is survived by her husband, William B. Blevins Jr.; son, Ron Stewart Jr. of St. Marys; two daughters, Kathy Danner of Mineral Wells, W.Va., and Karen Stewart of St. Marys; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her dog, Missy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Ronald Stewart; half-brother, George Rodgers; her maternal grandparents, George and Roberta Barnhart; and her paternal grandparents, Ben and Angie Harding.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys. Interment will be in the New Bethel Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Ridge, Pleasants County, W.Va. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday and 1-1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
