Dana B. Beall, 64, of Williamstown, passed away April 28, 2014, at Marietta Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness.
He was born in Parkersburg, Sept. 29, 1949, a son of Russell G. Beall of Parkersburg and the late Mary Margaret Morris Beall.
Dana had proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He retired from the Pipe Fitters Union Local #565, was a member of Millwright Local #1755 and Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed working on his classics and his race car. To honor Dana's passion for classic cars, the family requests that those attending the visitation or the service drive their classic cars.
In addition to his father, Dana is survived by his wife of 35 years, Peggy Ann Flanigan Beall; daughter, Nicloe Swartzentruber (Nathan) of Seattle, Wash.; son, Brett Fitzgerald Beall (Kelli), and granddaugher, FaeLynn; son, Scott A. Beall, all of Williamstown; and sister, Donna Beall-Bishop (Donald) of Florida. In addition to his mother, Dana was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clem Silcott and Winnie Fae Morrid; and paternal grandparents, Roscoe Beall and Bessie Cox Beall.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Rev David Carpenter officiating. Burial will be at the Oddfellows Cemetery in Harrisville. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, and for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
