Janet Lee Eakle, 58, of Belpre, Ohio, formerly of Ritchie County, W.Va., passed away April 24, 2014, at Marietta Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family.
She was born July 22, 1955, in Parkersburg, a daughter of Stewart Glenn Boyce of Pullman and the late Helen Jean (Tate) Boyce.
Janet was a homemaker and graduate of Harrisville High School Class of 1973. She enjoyed bingo and bluegrass gospel music. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her father is her husband of 41 years, Charles Michael Eakle; three children, Deanna Marie Eakle of Belpre, Sarah Lee Eakle of Belpre and Jason Michael Eakle (Lisa) of Vienna; and her siblings, Mary Hardbarger of Harrisville, Glenna Amos of Pullman, David Boyce of Frederick, Md., and Susan Richards of Clarksburg. She also leaves behind three grandchildren who were very special to her, Kaleigh Michael Eakle, Olivia Belle Eakle and Charlotte Rose Eakle.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at the Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, with Rev. Jim Eakle officiating. Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 27. In following Janet's wishes, she will be cremated and her remains buried at the Harrisville IOOF Cemetery alongside her mother.
