Billy J. Kelley, 84, of Pullman, W.Va. (formerly of Frederick, Md.) departed this life on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at CCMC, Memorial Campus, following a prolonged illness.
Billy was born Dec. 8, 1929, in Berea, W.Va. (Otterslide Community), a son of the late Jess and Nell (Collins) Kelley. Billy worked for the F.O. Day Company of Frederick, Md. and later retired from C.J. Miller of Frederick, Md. where he worked as a gradall operator. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict and was a graduate of Harrisville High School with the class of 1948. Billy was a member of the Frederick County CB Radio Club, the VFW Francis Scott Key Unit #11 of Frederick, Md., and greatly enjoyed his bowling league.
He is survived by his wife, Wilmetta Keith Kelley; step daughter, Jennifer Keith; grandchildren, Nathan Kelley (Sarah) and Amber Kelley; great grandchildren, Isabella and Aaliyah Kelley; three step grandchildren, six step great grandchildren, and sister, Alberta Ireland of Pullman, (White Oak Community).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Clista Sue (McCloy) Kelley; son, Michael Myrl Kelley; brothers, Carl and Myrl Kelley, and sisters, Eveleyn Kelley Reppert and Nancy Murray.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, at the Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville with Evangelist Andy Robison officiating and full military honors conducted by Harris-Ritchie VFW Post #3554. Burial will take place on Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick, Md. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
