Doris Ann Ghee, 74, of Sandyville, W.Va., passed away April 5, 2014, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg.
She was born April 18, 1939, in Clay County, W.Va., the daughter of Clyde Thomas and Dolly Cottrell Thomas.
She was a Christian. She loved sewing, reading and feeding the birds and animals. She always loved her Sunday dinners with her family. She attended Union Chapel Church on Windy Ridge, Jackson County.
Surviving are her children, Barb Ferrebee and husband, Bill, Will Ghee, Rosemary Somerville and husband, Bruce, Matt Ghee and wife, Donna, and Michael Ghee and wife, Sheri; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson on the way; brothers, Bob Tomas, Clay, W.Va., and Dennis and Jimmy Thomas, Newcomerstown, Ohio; sister, Carolyn Nicholas, Charleston, W.Va.; special friend and brother-in-law, Richard Hafer; special friend, Mary Richards; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Billy R. Ghee; parents, Clyde and Dolly Thomas; and brothers, Don, Carry and Clyde Thomas.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, W.Va., with Pastor Bud McVey officiating. Burial will be at Union Chapel Cemetery, Windy Ridge. Friends may visit from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
