Charlotte K. Johnson, 87, of Marietta, passed away at 12:25 a.m. April 5, 2014, at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta.
She was born Jan. 19, 1927, in Candler, N.C., the daughter of the late Cashius Penland and Sadie Kathleen Eplee.
She was the housekeeping superviser at the Ramada Inn in Marietta, and a member of Marietta Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Diana Lynn (Frank) Ferguson of Seymour, Tenn., and Jerilyn (Dave) Tuten of Marietta; one son, Bruce (Leslie) Johnson of Coolville; five grandchildren, Patrick Johnson, Amanda Sawyer, Bryan Tuten, Bethany Tuten and Paige Tuten; two step-grandchildren, Jeremy Pierce and Amber Ridenhour; two great-grandchildren, Molly and Lucas; one step-great-grandchild, Preston; and also 11 siblings.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph B. Johnson, who died Nov. 22, 1999; and a son, Randy Johnson.
Calling hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, where services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Victor Marshall officiating. She will be laid to rest in McConnelsville Cemetery.
