Linda Kay (Lum) Cumberledge, 66, of Santa Cruz, Calif., died March 23, 2014, at Dominican Hospital, after a brief illness.
She was born March 23, 1948, in Wood County, W.Va. Linda was the oldest daughter of C. Robert Cumberledge and the late Kathleen (Kitty) Hawk Cumberledge of Parkersburg.
Survivors include her sister, Rebekah Cumberledge Hesson, Morgantown, W.Va.; and two brothers, Michael Cumberledge, Cross Lanes, W.Va., and Mark Cumberledge, Hilton Head, S.C.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert (Bobby) Cumberledge.
She was extremely proud of all of her many nieces and nephews and loved them dearly.
Linda loved the ocean and lived on both coasts at one time or another. She lived life boldly and she loved her many friends all around the country. She had an artistic flair and she loved to do crafts and she had a special passion for painting. Her outgoing and loving personality had a lasting effect on all who knew her. She had a deeply spiritual side which caused her to go on several spiritual quests. She became a Christian and professed Jesus as her Savior.
Her body was cremated, her ashes given to loved ones, and her soul has gone to heaven. Linda, you will be missed. Peace and Love.
