Wanda M. Coen, age 81 of Stewart, Ohio, died Tuesday April 1, 2014 at her home.
Born Dec. 16, 1932 in Gassaway, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Tilford B. and Lucy Perrine Dennison. She attended school at Carthage Troy High School. She married her husband, Pearl Coen, on June 8, 1952. She attended Stewart Wesleyan Church and was a member of the Auxiliary to the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
Her kindness, generosity and deep love of family is what made her a treasured gift from God. Everyone enjoyed her homemade jelly. She loved to fish and read. She also enjoyed gardening and canning.
Wanda is survived by her husband of 61 years, Pearl Coen; twin daughters- Dale (Carl) Inman of Delaware, Ohio and Gail (John) Beasley-Angus of Coolville, Ohio; two sons, Samuel Coen of Athens, Ohio and Arthur Coen of Nelsonville, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one sister, Evalee Oggy of Hillsboro, Ohio; three brothers- Rondal (Joyce) Dennison of Guysville, Ohio, Theron (Daythene) Dennison of Exchange, W.Va., and Eugene Dennison of Lambertville, N.J.; multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Shirley Maloney, Mildred Malin and Fonda Euren; four brothers, Gale Dennison, Byron Dennison, Burnell Dennison and Gareth Dennison; and a son-in-law, Mike Beasley.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday 11 a.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens, Ohio with Pastor Denny Bolin. Burial will be in Stewart Cemetery, Stewart. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
