Harry D. Eddleblute "Blute", 77, of Belleview, Fla., passed into Glory on March 19, 2014, surrounded by his loving family at Marion County Hospice House. He died as he lived, with grace and concern for those he loved.
He was born Sept. 19, 1936, in Morgan County, Ohio, a son of Delbert C. Eddleblute and Virgie I. Rowland Eddleblute.
Harry enjoyed the outdoors, NASCAR, classic vehicles, reading and was well known for his extraordinary wit. He retired in 2001 after 37 1/2 years with Rockwell/Arvin-Meritor and was a proud UAW member.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Karen Eddleblute of Belleview, Fla. Additionally, his first wife and mother of his three daughters, Patricia Eddleblute of Zanesville, Ohio. Also left to cherish his memory are his three devoted daughters, Barbara (John) Dollman of Vienna, W.Va., Becky (Steve) McCallister of Zanesville, Ohio, and Beverly Eddleblute of Parkersburg; step-children, Jennifer (Kris) LaPoint of Orlando, Fla., and Todd Leachman of San Francisco, Calif.; grandchildren, Heather (Ryan) Barks, Vincent McCallister, Lauren McCallister, Andrew Dollman, Megan (Michael) Pierce, John (Tamitha) Dollman, Taylor Woolsey and Mattole Leachman; great-grandchildren, McKenna and Addison Barks, Abby and Mikey Pierce and Tessa and Tate Dollman; and extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one sister.
A memorial service to celebrate Harry's life will be held April 5, 2014, at 2 p.m., in Zanesville, Ohio, at Westwood Baptist Church. The family will receive visitors two hours prior to the service. Burial will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg, at the convenience of the family.
