Leon Reed Eddy, 84, of Charleston, W.Va., passed away at the Hubbard Hospice House on Wednesday, March 26, 2014.
He was born Nov. 29, 1929, in Parkersburg, a son of the late William Henry and Anna Rutter Eddy.
Leon was owner/operator of and retired from Eddy's Sewer and Plumbing in Charleston. He was a decorated veteran of the United States Army, receiving silver and bronze stars.
He is survived by one son, Aaron Dee Eddy of Crosslanes, W.Va.; two brothers, Nile Eddy and Mark Eddy; and three grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Gary Alan Eddy; six brothers; and six sisters.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, March 31, at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, Parkersburg, with Pastor Michael Elder and Pastor Joe Ward officiating. Burial will follow with full military rites by American Legion Post #15 of Parkersburg in the Lubeck Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, at the funeral home.
