Juanita Geraldine Cook, 92, of Parkersburg, died March 21, 2014, at her residence.
She was born March 9, 1922, in Parkersburg, to the late Otto and Ruby Wilson.
Juanita worked for American Viscose, Gorrill Electronics as a secretary and for CPPA Ben Johnson here in Parkersburg. After retirement, she loved gardening and working picture puzzles, which she enjoyed framing. Juanita married Robert Lee "Bobby" Cook and they had one daughter, Linda Scholl, with whom she resided with for the last six years here in Parkersburg.
In addition to her daughter, she is survived by her sister, Margie M. Poe (who has lived with her for the past 18 years); three grandchildren, Kenneth W. Arnott, Brenda Oldaker (Kevin) and Billy Johnson; four great-grandsons, Kevin Jr. and Kenny M. Oldaker, both of Alabama, Billy Kirk of Columbus, Ohio, and Brandon Allen of Miami, Fla.; two great-great-grandsons, Kevin III and Kyle Oldaker, both of Alabama; three step-grandchildren, Tony Scholl, Robert Scholl (Michelle) and Karen Speert, all of Columbus, Ohio; and six step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. L. Norman Butler officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery South. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday.
