Christine L. Mossor

Christine L. Mossor, 94, of Harrisville, W.Va., departed this life on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Pine View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Harrisville.

Christine was born Jan. 1, 1920 in Berea, W.Va. (Bone Creek Community), a daughter of the late Roscoe Iber and Epie "Hazel" (Goff) Perrin. She was a graduate of Harrisville High School with the class of 1938 and went on to receive her bachelor's degree from Salem College. After college, Christine started a 26-year career as a teacher for many schools in Ritchie County and Pleasants County. She was a longtime member of Eastern Star, South Fork Grange No. 520-Berea, ECO Sunshine of Pullman, an honorary member of the Harrisville Emergency Squad and was a Methodist by faith.

She is survived by her three children, William "Bill" Mossor (Arlene), Harrisville; David Mossor, Harrisville; Lora Ingram (Dennis), Cairo, W.Va (Glendale Community); eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloed husband, Leonard Earl Mossor; brothers, Roscoe Perrin Jr., John David Perrin; and a sister, Margaret Ann (Perrin) Sprague.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville with the Rev. Karen Stinespring and the Rev. Larry Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrisville IOOF Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m Saturday at the funeral home.
