Berkley F. Badgett

Berkley F. Badgett, Warrant Officer, W4, 83, of Parkersburg, passed away on March 16, 2014, at the St. Joseph's Campus of Camden Clark Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 21, 1931, in Wood County, W.Va., a son of the late Floyd and Lenora Badgett.

Berkley served in the Army for 22 years. He was a Chief Warrant Officier. He also worked at Union Carbide for five years. He had his own construction company and his own real estate business for over 20 years. Berkley was a member of Porterfield Baptist Church and attended Little Hocking Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Terry Ann Badgett Horton; and his sisters, Emma Swope, Hazel VanFossen and Edna Spencer.

Surviviors include his nieces, nephews and cousins; and a special friend, Ann Mcghee of Vienna.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, with burial to follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Post 15 of the American Legion.
