Betty Lou Griffith, 84, of Parkersburg, died on Wednesday, March 12, at the West Virginia Masonic Home.
She was born Aug. 2, 1929 in Parkersburg to the late Charles and Helen (Williams) Taitt.
Betty was a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed talking to people. She was a retired sales clerk for Sears. Betty was always involved with the Masons, as her late husband was very active at the lodge.
She is survived by two sons, Fred Griffith (Gena Kuhl) and Robert Griffith; one daughter, Linda Blankensop; 12 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Charlie and Dale Taitt; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maldon J. Griffith; one daughter, Diana Nunn; and two brothers, Jimmy and Bill Taitt.
The funeral service will be Friday, March 14, beginning at 3 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 2-4 and 6-8 at the funeral home.
