Loretta Aver, 78, of Parkersburg, W.Va., died March 6, 2014, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.
She was born in Lodi, N.J., a daughter of the late Nicholas and Rose (Disimoni) Grecco.
She worked as a foreman at Litton Industries and was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. She was a member of the Moose and the Red Hat Society.
She is survived by her daughter, Valerie Corbin; adopted daughter, Shawntel Eagle of Parkersburg; granddaughter, Jaden Ruppert-Eagle of Parkersburg; brother, Phil Grecco; two nieces, Millie Lumbardo and Roslyn Marchese; and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Aver; son, Lou Petronio; six brothers, Angelo, Anthony, Joseph, Nicholas, Daniel, and Francis Grecco; and three sisters, Eleanor Wolshonak, Mary Torsiello and Mildred LiCarta.
A memorial Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Parkersburg, with Monsigner Joseph Peterson officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with a wake service at 4 p.m.
