Jack Boggs

Jack Boggs, 77, of Middlebourne, departed this life on March 1, 2014, in Liza's Place, Wheeling.

He was born in Gilmer County on Sept. 15, 1936, a son of the late Ernest C. and Claudia Inez Henderson Boggs.

Jack was a retired employee of PPG Industries, Natrium, W.Va. He was a member of Muddy Creek Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Bernard, George, Junior, Bill and Wayne Boggs.

Jack is survived by his wife of 58 1/2 years, Donna Glover Boggs; a son, Rodney (Kim) Boggs, Middlebourne; two daughters, Sharon (Jon) Eddy, Knightdale, N.C., and Karen (Jon) Broadwater, Sistersville; a brother, John Boggs, Parkersburg; a stepbrother, William Ferrell, Middlebourne; seven grandchildren, Joni (Everette) Faison, Matthew (Betsy) Boggs, Meggan (Angie) Hostuttler, David (Marina) Foland, Benjamin (Kaitlyn) Foland, Bradley (Shayna) Foland and James Broadwater III; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Furbee Funeral Home, Middlebourne, where services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday with Evangelist Jonathan Kerns officiating. Interment will be in Middlebourne Cemetery.
