Earl E. Flesher

Earl E. Flesher, 71, of Holbrook Community, Ritchie County, passed away Feb. 28, 2014, at his residence, following an extended illness.

He was born Nov. 10, 1942, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Lincoln Brooks Flesher and Iris Azalea (Maxson) Flesher.

Mr. Flesher retired as a bus driver with over 30 years service with the Ritchie County Board of Education. He was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed hunting and was an Honorary Member of the South Fork Hunting Club. He, along with his wife, were very instrumental in the establishment of the Handicap Jamboree at North Bend State Park, from its beginning.

Surviving is his son, Jeff Flesher and his wife, Regina, of Harrisville; granddaughter, Lauren Brooke Flesher; and two step-granddaughters, Mikayla and Elizabeth Little.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Collins) Flesher on April 6, 2013; son, Brooks Flesher; and daughter, Sherry Flesher.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, with the Rev. Don Maxson officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Berea. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. today.
