Donald Edward Bell, 83, of Davisville, passed away Feb. 21, 2014, at his residence.
He was born in Parkersburg on July 7, 1930, a son of the late William and Virginia Danford Bell.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a life member of VFW Post 1212. He had retired from A.B. Chance and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a volunteer for Eastwood Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pauline A. Bell; daughters, Ann Hays (Steve) of Williamstown, Marsha Campbell (Scott) of Davisville and Mary McIntyre (Tim) of Davisville; grandsons, Justin Hays, Jason Campbell and Ryan McIntyre; great-grandchildren, Gaby Campbell and Phoenix Nestlerote; sister, Gay Metz; brother, Gary Bell; and sister, Patricia Peterman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Danny Bell.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with Father John Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery with military rites provided by American Legion Post 15. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, followed with the Rosary.
