Allen F. Bills

Allen F. Bills, 65, of St. Marys, passed away Feb. 13, 2014, at Cabell Huntington Hospital after a courageous battle surrounded by his family.

Born on Oct. 19, 1948, in Parkersburg, W.Va., he was a son of Elberta Bell Bills and the late Francis R. "Jack" Bills.

He was a 1967 graduate of St. Marys High School, a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a Laborer with Local 1085 since 1967. Allen was also a member of Pleasants County Coon Hunters Association and the Pleasants County Mud Boggers. He loved to hunt, fish, playing cards with his mother and family, visiting with his friends, watching his grandkids' sporting events, and to travel with his wife.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of almost 46 years, Ada McCloy Bills; one son, Gary (Christy) Bills; four grandchildren, Brooke, Wylie, Keegan and Brody; five sisters, Sandra Hayton, Janie Blouir, Mary Sue Perry, Dorothy Straight and Martha Malone; four brothers, Frank, Larry, Jack and Mike Bills; one half-sister, Carolyn Nichols; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Marvin; half-brother, Bill; and half-sister, Margaret Calahan.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, W.Va. Interment will be in Willow Island Cemetery, with military graveside rites. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Sunday and from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
