Garold Lew Cline, 71, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., passed away on Feb. 13, 2014, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 28, 1942, in Wood County, W.Va., a son of the late Albert L. and Lillian I. Davis Cline.
Garold graduated from Parkersburg High School, class of 1961. He retired from Union Carbide Plastics and Amoco Performance Products, both of Marietta. He was an active member of Wood County 4-H as a leader and camp trustee before his stroke in 2001. He was a 4-H All-Star, Project chair, and Shooting Sports Instructor. He enjoyed bowling and working on the family farm. He attended Big Tygart United Methodist Church. During his last years he had tropical fish, cats, and dogs, including a Great Pyrenees "Spot" and a Collie "Laddy". He also had several goats and enjoyed bird watching.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Ramey Cline; one son, Garold L. "Junior" Cline Jr.; sister, Roberta Price; brother, Harold L. Cline (Norma); nephew, Ronald Cline; and foster brother, Alfred Martin; all of Mineral Wells.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Jeff Mayfield officiating. Interment will follow at Big Tygart Cemetery in Mineral Wells. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14 at the funeral home.
