James C. Boothe, 84, of Parkersburg, passed away Feb. 10, 2014, at the Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.
He was born in Spencer, W.Va., the son of the late Clark E. and Margaret Webb Boothe.
He had served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. He had been employed by McGlothin Printing for 25 years, owned and operated Ace Printing Company and was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Kella Purdue Boothe of Parkersburg; his children, Michael Boothe and Karen of Parkersburg, Sharon Boothe Archer of Vienna, Larry Boothe and Teresa of Veto, Ohio, and Karen Cline and Mike of Belpre, Ohio; his step-children, Roscoe "Butch" Anderson of Parkersburg, Jackie Richard and Jeff of Charleston, S.C., Karen Sue Knight of Greenville, S.C., and James F. Kesterson and Emily of Savannah, Ga.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah Ayers Boothe; four brothers; and five sisters.
There will be a visitation from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg.
