Eleanor Roth Dyke, 90, of Williamstown, W.Va., passed away at her home on Feb. 2, 2014.
She was born June 12, 1923, in Philadelphia, Pa., a daughter to the late George and Catharine Carman Roth.
She was a former board member of the YWCA and a Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, bird watching and reading.
She is survived by her husband, Wilmer J. Dyke. They were married on Sept. 5, 1942, in Clayton, N.J. Eleanor is survived by four daughters, Elaine (Tom) Birkhimer of Star Valley Ranch, Wyo., Susan (Jim) Cooper of Waverly, Ohio, Geraldine (Chester) DeWitt of Cumberland, Md., and Rebecca Williamson of Williamstown, W.Va. Also surviving are two sons, David (Sharon) Dyke of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Jeffrey (Darci) Dyke of Parkersburg. She leaves behind seven granddaughters; 10 grandsons; six great-granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.
A private funeral will be held at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with burial to follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
