Beulah K. Cutlip

Beulah Kathleen Cutlip, 96, passed away Jan. 31, 2014. Most recently, she was a resident of Cedar Grove Personal Care where she made many friends.

She was born Feb. 16, 1917, of Clover, W.Va., in Roane County, to the late Anthony Columbus Holland and Arletta Holland (Boggs). She and her family resided in Parkersburg since 1948.

She was a homemaker who raised two fine sons. She was an accomplished quilt maker who hand pieced and hand quilted beautiful ones. She was an avid gardener who started her own plants from saved seeds and then canned the harvest. She and her late husband were ardent walkers at the mall. She was a lifelong member of Bays Chapel Church at Clover, W.Va. She attended Parkersburg First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ.

She is survived by her sons, Roger (Becky) and Donald (Jean) Cutlip; eight grand children; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Harris; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon C. Cutlip; brothers, Cecil Holland, Virgil Holland, Holly Holland and Roy Holland; and sisters, Elsie Holland, Icie Holland, Blanche Holland and Josephine Fisher.

Services will be 11 a.m. today at Leavitt Funeral Home of Parkersburg, with the Rev. Thad Allen officiating. Burial will follow at the Clover Cemetery in Roane County.
