Dorotha M. Hardway, 82, of 20881 State Hwy. 198, Saegertown, passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.
Dorotha was born in Moundsville, W.Va., on June 21, 1931, a daughter of the late Walter and Mae (South) Long.
In the early 1980s, after more than 30 years of service, Dorotha retired from Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, where she had been employed as a Certified Nurse Aide. She graduated from high school in Moundsville, W.Va. She enjoyed gardening, reading and putting together puzzles.
Dorotha is survived by three children, Debra K. Baldwin of Centerville, with whom she lived, and David Hardway and Karen Oeltjenbruns, both of Coolville, Ohio; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Jean Doyle of Moundsville, W.Va.; a brother, Carl Long and his wife Patty of Benwood, W.Va.; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Dorotha was preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Hardway; and a son, Kenneth Hardway.
At the family's request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a future date, which will be announced.
