Dorothy Geraldine "Jerry" Lutz, 97, of Parkersburg, passed away Jan. 20. 2014, at Genesis Healthcare.
She was born July 19, 1916, a daughter of the late John P. and Mollie Essie Full.
She was a 1935 graduate of Parkersburg High School and Camden Clark School of Nursing in 1938. She worked at Priddy's Hospital in Ravenswood, and as a private duty nurse in Parkersburg, and in several nursing homes while in Florida for many years. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, the Alice Fountain Circle and attended Excelsior Class.
She is survived by a nephew, John David Full; a niece, Pam Roberts; a grand niece; three grandnephews; and six step-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lutz; brother, David L. Full; sister, Imogene Sigler; a step-son; and two step-daughters.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Dr. Kurt Busiek officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Parkersburg. Visitation will be Wednesday, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
